    Ditto
    S'mores. Just S'mores please.
  • The end of March/beginning of April

  • march.  I have them but I am working on making sure everyones address is correct.  I also wanted to test one of the envelopes to see if my printer could print the address instead of having to hand write everything.  What did everyone else do?

  • end of feb/march.  I am waiting to make sure my website is up before sending
  • I want them out no later than mid-March. Ideally the beginning of March, since practically half of our guests (my entire family has to fly in) will need to book plane tickets if they are going to come.

Are you guys hand addressing your STDs/invites, or using labels?
  • Ill be sending ours out within the next few weeks. Just need to get ther last of the addresses and make sure we didn't forget anyone.

lplions- I hand wrote all of ours so far (88). It didn't take too long and I did it in front of the tv.

  • Our are already sent out, and we used labels to address them.

  • Addressing the envelopes this weekend and then they will go out.  Our wedding is a holiday weekend, Columbus Day, so we figured more notice the better for our guests.
  • I hope to send mine out Feb/March.. I am also hand writing mine but I have return labels with both of our names to seal the envelope with.

I'm handwriting the addresses on the save the date and am purchasing a self-inking personalized stamp from Etsy for the return address. We have a friend with prettier handwriting who will be addressing the wedding invitations.

For what it's worth, if you look on the E board and I & P, the general consensus is that you should not use labels to address your invitations.  The names and the addresses of the invitees should be handwritten, although I think you can use labels for the return addresses.

ETA - I think you can print directly onto the envelope, but shouldn't use a label.

  • For the invites, I was planning on handwriting all of the addresses. I wasn't sure about the STDs, though. Personally, I'd rather get one that's hand addressed than labeled, which is why I know I'll end up doing that. Which means I have to order them soon, haha.

What are you guys using for wording on yours? I've been googling different wording options, but the one I found that I kind of like my FI said it's "too barf-y". (He's so classy, haha)
  • Funny thing is that though my date is changing my STDs will go out by email and snail mail curteousy of Disney in Mid March about the same time as if we'd done them ourselves for an October wedding.

  • We sent my save the dates out with our holiday cards.  We figured would only have to write out the addresses once.  My bridemaids took a calligraphy class.  She has asked to write out our invitations to get some experience before putting her service on Esty!

<div>I agree, but for save the dates, a label (to me) is totally fine. The actual invites will be done in calligraphy. My save the dates also went out with my holiday cards - don't know if that is a faux pas or not, but it was just a lot easier.</div><div>

  • I thought about us getting a stamp, but we are semi house hunting right now, so it wouldn't be worth it to get a stamp for our apartment since we won't hopefully be there much longer.

I'm sending mine out the first week of April.

  • I sent mine out this week since a lot of people will be traveling to the wedding. I didn't think it was necessary to handwrite the envelopes for the STDs so I had the store I ordered them from print out the names.
