New August Bride

Hey ladies!  I've lurked and posted around here a bit but I never introduced myself!  My FI and I got engaged in October and we're getting married August 12th in Avondale, PA.  The venue is very country/romantic (lots of wood, candle light, very cozy).  We''ve gotten a lot done (dress, photog, DJ, flowers, STDs) so now I'm working on sending out STDs, getting BM dresses, and looking at invitations!

I've gotten a lot of good advice and insights just lurking around here, so thanks ladies!  Hard to believe we're getting to the 6 mo mark...

Welcome! I got engaged this past June and I can't even believe we are at the 6/5 month mark, either. We are getting married on August 4th. Right now I am working on the florist, I do not even know where to start with those! My main color is royal blue and black and white are the other two. Blue flowers are definitely limited! Where did you get your dress? Mine is a Maggie Sotterro.

Yea, blue flowers are tough!  We're doing eggplant and gray, some white and black in there as well.  I suggest anenomes and gerber daisies (with black centers) for the black and white!

My dress is Allure....it's fit and flair with a sweetheart neckline and ivory lace.  What's yours look like?

Mine is an A line skirt with rouching at the top, sweetheart neckline. Beading at the top, none on the rest of it. I was online when I saw it and had to find it somewhere in Texas, we finally found it after calling like 11 stores! I tried it on and knew it was the one!

I emailed the florist, hopefully  next week she will be able to meet me to give me her ideas on blue for the flowers. Blue with black center would be perfect!

Welcome!  For blue flowers in our bouquets, we are using bachelor's buttons and belladonna.  We are doing a more seasonal, natural bouquets, though, so I'm not sure if that will fit your style.  Just an idea!
