Save the dates.....

So how long did it take you to get your save the dates? What site did you use? Also, is everyone doing std's here or what? I am thinking I might not want to send them because I feel like I am really behind as I haven't even ordered them yet.

I have had them since, like, early November. They should be going out in the next week! I got them through Vistaprint (postcards.)

I just got mine in the mail today...I've addressed them all and just need to send them. There is still around 6 months before August, if you send them now, you shouldn't have to send invites until June, since they already have a heads up.
I did mine at moo.com, which I loved! I did postcards with our picture and date on the front and all the info on the back, with room for the address and stamp!

I got mine from Vistaprint also ...I got them back in like Oct/Nov. We just sent them out last week. But like PP said, if you send them now, you'll be fine. It's nice to give people a heads up, especially if they are travelling.

I sent mine in early December. Our wedding is in a very touristy area of Maine where hotels can fill up by January, so I had to get them out super early so people would know to book their hotels early. For most people though, I think 6 months is about right. I used Vistaprint, and got the large magnets. They came out really well, and shipped VERY quickly. I think I had them within 5 days of placing the order.

I sent mine super early as it is an out of town wedding. I used postcards from Uprinting and they came in about a week and I was satisfied with the quality!

I got my first proof yesterday... there's a few things we want to change, so I ordered a second proof today with our changes. Hopefully we'll be mailing them out by the first or second week of February.

I ordered mine on VP and got them back pretty quickly but that's because I paid for faster shipping. My most recent VP order I didn't upgrade shipping and it took about a month to get the order in. I sent mine out just before the holidays because we have A LOT of OOT guests and thought they'd appreciate as much advance notice as they could get.

I haven't ordered mine yet and I think I will still do them. I think as long as I get them out by the end of February I'm in good shape

We aren't doing save the dates.  Most of our guests live in the city we are getting married in, so we just felt it was an area we could save a little bit of money.

If you decide to do them, you still have plenty of time.  I have mine but haven't sent them yet.  I got mine from minted.com - I think they're a little more expensive then VP, but if you're having a smaller wedding theyre still very reasonable.  I was really impressed with the quality of the save the dates, and they were at my door within 2 days of ordering them!

Well....I guess I am doing them....in a drunken moment sometime late last night I decided to buy some from a website I was looking at. We'll see how they turn out! I guess I started to think that since nearly all of our guests are out of town I should still do them.

I ordered ours on snapfish.com and they came in ike 4 business days. So  if you find a place where they come in faster like that you for sure still have time!

I only did Save the Dates because I ordered the free business cards on Vistaprint and turned them into Save the Dates and put our website address on them.  I put them into Christmas cards.  I never would have paid to mail them out otherwise.  The people closest to me already know the date by word of mouth, and we don't have many out of town, so it wasn't a necessity for me.

I ordered mine from VistaPrint on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we are hoping to have them out within the next week or so!!
