White Dress Search Help

So I really want to wear different white / ivory / black & white dresses for my bridal shower, bachelorette party & rehearsal dinner and am having SUCH a hard time finding any.

I just wanted to know if you girls have any suggestions of stores/ sites to look at that have a large dress selection? I'm perfectly fine with ordering online, I just haven't been able to find anything, and am not usually a dress person so I don't even know if I'm looking in the right places! LOL

Help is appreciated! :)

Re: White Dress Search Help

  • White House Black Market has some really cute black/white/tan colored dresses in right now (and some with pink accents, as well.)  Lilly Pulitzer also has some really, really adorable white dresses in.  For reference, I usually find that Lilly fits me true to size, and I buy most of the White & Black dresses a size smaller these days.

  • I got a really cute Nicole Miller Artelier dress from Neiman Marcus, under $300.  If you want to get something more significant, Amsale makes Little White Dresses to order at a bridal store.  I got one at their flagship salon in NYC.

I actually ordered an ivory cocktail-length bridesmaid dress from Alfred Angelo to wear to the wedding after party.  It was about the same price that I would have paid at a department store, and I had a huge selection...most bridesmaid dresses come in shades of white and I got to try the different styles on at a bridal salon to see what I liked, so it was easy!

  • I will second PP . I can't usually find things because not only am i super picky, but these days I have been having to buy "plus size" uh. Which i amNOt used to and not sure of stores to shop in.
I have foundt hat buying a bridesmaid dress in a shade of white works well for me.

Also, I have had some dresses made. It's not at all as expensive as you think, you can find a seamstress online, on etsy, or just check locally.
You can copy a designer dress for a fraction of the price.
