We FINALLY filed for passports on Saturday, wahoo!!! We've been trying to do it for months now but can only do it on Saturday mornings (conflicting work schedules with local PO) and sometimes we have other things we need to do. The few times we were prepared to go that Saturday, something always postponed it. I only had my short birth cert. so I had to wait for my long one to be mailed to me. FI must still be 15 because his mom was still holding on to his birth cert. and it took her a while to find it (lol). We went a few weekends ago and the line was out the door and they turned us away so that they could get through the line and close on time (found out later it was "national passport day" ...what are the chances?). We missed the section on the paperwork that asked for your ex's info if you have ever been divorced. FI didn't know any of her info and we don't speak to her so we had to file for divorce papers - which had the info we needed on it - because he lost his (I'm gunna be in charge of all his important papers from now on! haha) Although that part worked out for us because we'll need those papers when we file for our marriage license anyways.
To say the least, I'm stoked for this task to be over and done with! Mexico, we'll be seeing you in T- 5 months!!!

Re: Check!!
well you must be happy to finally have that out of the way! luckily, a passport is good for 10 years so you wont have to deal with that again! I just had mine renwered a few years ago, and FI doens't need a passport to travel internationally (but he is getting one anyone) due to his high security clearance....
we are going to avoid saturdays and ill be sure to send him during the week so that its not bombarded by all the other people on a weekend- def a smart idea!
We are going to mexicco too...where are u headed in mexico
