CAN'T FIND SHOES!!!

Hey Ladies... I've been out of commission for a week now... sick, showers, flight cancellations.. ugh... I returned to my wedding shoes having been delivered. Excitedly I tried them on and they are too big (only on my left foot), I had already sized up because the first time they came they were too small, on my right foot. This is the 3rd pair of shoes I have bought and returned, and I am not picky but I don't want to be falling down the aisle! I had purchased the TOMS wedding Ivory wedges. I really want a wedge and I would like to be able to wear them again. No one sees the shoes so I want them to be comfortable, hence the TOMS... I'm just really frustrated and don't know what to do at this point.

Re: CAN'T FIND SHOES!!!

  • I have the hardest time fitting a shoe.  I can't order them off the internet.  I would try going to a store.  Where you are looking at a wedge and not a heal most shoes should be pretty comfortable at least that's what I have found with wedges.

  • i have bought 3 pair now for the simple fact that keep coming up with excuses to buy them.  1st pair-my FSD has to wear because the white ones we bought her won't work with her dress 2nd) I wore out twice and there is a scuff mark on them.  LOL  THe way I justify it is by spending no more than 30 dollars a pair LOL.

This isn't helpful at all, but I'm in the same boat.  I can't find shoes for the life of me!  I also want wedges/heels that are comfortable.  Did the TOMS at least feel good?  I have a pair of flat TOMS and love them, but I haven't tried their wedges.

Good luck, I wish I could help!
  • Yes I loved the TOMS and they were comfortable. The problem is I have to keep ordering from the website bc not many stores around here sell them, and they don't have the TOMS wedding styles in store in Nordstrom! I'm still wanting to go with a pair of TOMS, I just don't know which ones. I do have a rustic feel to my wedding, and my dress is lace... would the burlap wedges look good, or is that just ridiculous? Here's a picture of the two I'm thinking of.

  • If you have one foot smaller or larger than the other go for a style that has the ankle strap with buckle so you can adjust or get a slingback. I have the same problem. The second wedge in your pic looks like the ankle strap would work.

  • I am stuck on shoes also.  I'm trying to wrap that up since I can't get alterations on the dress until I have my shoes!  I have 5 pairs shipping from DSW and I will choose one of those OR a pair I have already found but am not head over heels in love with.  This search needs to end this month!!

  • did you try nordstroms? can you go to try on shoes? that's where I found mine
  • I bought my pair of Nina from Dillard's a few days ago. The left foot fit perfect and the right foot was hugging it tight. The store stretched it out a bit for me but it was still really tight. When I got home and had my FI measured it, we realized that the shoe was actually a two different sizes. The factory had printed the size wrong on the the shoes. Both said 6 1/2, but really the right heel should be a 6!

Not sure if that's the case with you since you already did 3 returns. In any case, other than the weird sizing problem, I actually find my 5 inch Nina heels really comfortable. Nina does a good job, so if you were to get a pair of 3 inches:

    It should be pretty comfortable.
