Activity Book

Hey all!  I made activity books for the kids at my reception.  I want to put some kind of description in a frame.  Maybe a cute poem.  Just something explaining to the kids to take a book and complete all the stuff in it...any ideas on what to say?  Thanks!

I'm just putting coloring books crayons on the tables that the kids will be sitting at.

Are you at least doing assigned tables?  If so, put it at the escort card table with a note for the kids to each take one.

If not, still put it on a table in the way in with a note, just by itself.  (Though I think you're asking for madness with that many people and no assigned tables.)

I think its a regional thing with assigned tables.  I've never seen it done where I live.  I was in a friends wedding with 300 people who came and she didn't have assigned tables and it was fine   I was thinking by the food or something..thanks!

We're putting activity books in a basket with a little sign that says "For the kids... and kids at heart!" and the cover says "Activity Book".  We're making a bunch of extra, since I know some of my dorky/artsy friends will grab some to play with, too!

I wouldn't put it by the food - you could be asking for trouble later if a kid didn't get one and is now interrupting the food line.  I like pp's idea of a little basket - maybe the dj wouldn't mind making an announcement and letting the kids come up and get it from a specific spot?
