Filling in guest number on reply card???

Hi ladies, can you suggest a type of pen to use? I tried a gel and kinda smudged:/ anything else that I can use but not too thick to write in the number of guests? Thanks in advance :

just pick up a nice ball point pen, or thin sharpie if you want a cute color

I used a thin sharpie to write the names on my rsvp's.  They come in all sorts of colors so you can have some fun with them.

I work for a promotional company so I used a really nice pen that wasn't gel. It also depends on what paper your invites are on. Mine were on a linen so that absorbs more ink and prevents smearing than a coated stock would.
