where to track

So we all know how reliable the knot is with our post, ha!  So I am a bit concerned about tracking my RSVPs on here.  Did you guys track everything in spreadsheets or did you leverage another website?

Re: where to track

  • So far I've been saving the RSVPs I've gotten back in a large bowl. I haven't started tracking them anywhere but here.
  • I made an excel spreadsheet where I'll put yes or no and how many in their party.  Then I made it to where it'll show me the sum of how many are attending....

  • I use an Excel spreadsheet.  I like it because you can make another column later to keep track of gifts and thank you cards.  If you want to be safe, back it up on Google Docs or something.  I would NOT trust The Knot!!
  • You know, I didn't even think about that, given how shaky TK can be. I've only been using TK, but I've also been saving the RSVPs I get back. I've looked over my list so much that I pretty much have it memorized, and I haven't gotten any declines yet, so that makes it easier, haha.

I did make a backup copy of the guest list on Google Docs, though, when we finalized it.
  • Im doing a spread sheet

  • I have an excel spreadsheet made. More reliable :)
  • OMG it never even clicked in how unreliable the knot was. I was using the knot alone but now I am going to do what the other ladies are doing and create a spreadsheet on excel. Good thing y

  • I have an excel spreadsheet that tracks everything - guest list, budget, accommodation etc. I've managed to get it to automatically update the budget spend on dinner, as I update the number of guests attending. We have it saved on drop box so I can access it from any computer and share it with my mom and FI. But I agree with PP about looking at it so often I have it memorized!

  • I have Excel spreadsheets for all of these things as well. I'm not as savvy as you though. I'll have to experiment with the automatic updating.
  • I am having my guests reply at www.anrsvp.com. I'm sure you could also track and log there once you received mailed back rsvps.
