RSVP followup time: not fun

So, our RSVP date was July 1st and we're still waiting to hear from a good number of guests. I thought I would give guests a little extra time to respond so I waited until today to followup with guests who hadn't responded. I got it done, but that was not fun. I sent emails and facebook messages to each person. For some reason, I felt like I had to rewrite the message for each person. Hope they reply soon!

yeah, my deadline is this Saturday, and I'm still waiting on about 35 people. Lots of phone calls next week, I guess!

I made my deadline too late... so I feel terrible, but I'm going to have to bother guests early! Someone told me it was rude to make the RSVP date earlier than 2-3 weeks before the wedding and I stupidly listened... I'll be calling them at 1 month out.. bc the rooms will be getting released and if they are coming I don't want them to miss out on the deal... ( I think I'll copy and paste the message a lot though ;-) Good luck getting all those replies in!!! I'm sure people just don't think about it... I'm RSVP crazy now though... I've received 2 invites since mine have gone out and they are back in the mail with in 3 days of getting them... never will I make a bride wait again!!!

I hear ya!  I was looking forward to checking the mail today and didn't get one RSVP.  I still have a few weeks but am still missing quite a few.  Hope to get some more soon!

Our RSVPs are due this weekend, and we still have 71 left!  I have a feeling I'm going to be making quite a few phone calls next week...

^^^That's us too! We're missing almost half of our replies and the deadline is pretty much tomorrow...Next week is gonna be terrible with trying to reach people, I just know it! Crossing my fingers we hit the motherload of RSVPs today and tomorrow!!

We have about half of our RSVPs in, and our date is the 14th of this month. The majority of the missing ones are from all of my OOT family. I guess that's to be expected, but at the same time, I'm going nuts because there is a huge difference between a 60 person reception and a 120 person reception. All I'm hoping for is that we reach 100. 

FI and I will probably wait a few days after the 14th to give some time for those last minute RSVPs to come in, but then we'll be making calls, sending emails, etc.

Our deadline is today and we're waiting to hear from about 80 people.  I'm REALLY hoping that my mailbox is overflowing when I get home, but I only got 3 yesterday, and 2 on Tuesday :-/

However, I know some people weren't in their homes this week because of the widespread power outages from last week's storm.  And a number of the RSVPs I'm waiting on are for families (still waiting on one for 9 people, another one for 6 people), so a few RSVPs will make a big difference in the number of our replies.

My RSVP date is today and I got 1 yesterday and 2 today.  UGH  That's 120 that still haven't RSVP'd as of yet.  I made the date 2 weeks before the head count is due to the caterer so that I have time to contact the stragglers.  Hopefully, it won't be as bad as I am thinking that it will be.

Omg, rich nicci: 120 is a crazy number. I feel like such a whiner with less than 30. Good luck! I hope you get a ton in the next few days.

We've asked our guests to RSVP by the 18th, and so far we are still waiting on 85% to show up.  I jokingly told my mom not to make any plans for that Saturday and to charge her phone, because we would have to call lots of people.
Her reply? "We don't have to call most of them; we know they are coming." 
Me - Um...we do?
Mom - They're family - of course they'll come!

Ugh....

It is SO good to hear that everyone else is waiting on RSVP's. Our date was July 1, and a few more trickled in that weekend, but we still have some phone calls to make. Frustrating but oh well! I just want to make sure no one knows I'm frustrated, haha!

I was just about to make my own post whining about this, but I guess I'll just jump on board this one instead. My RSVP deadline was July 1st, and I'm such a nervous wreck right now about my budget thatI started contacting people right away! I got quite a few responses immediately from people I contacted, but now I've got 16 more parties (approx. 30 ppl) that I just can't get a response from! It's like the facebook messages and phone calls have gone to some black hole...

How the heck do I figure everything out when I don't know how many people are coming?!?! I want to finalize my food counts, cake counts, rental counts, flower counts, aaahhh!

Ok- so after getting some RSVPs today- including friends who are nice enough to text "just in case their RSVPs don't get here in time," I have 38 left out there. About 43% acceptance rate so far too- not bad for a Wednesday wedding!
