Jack And Jill Shower

Is anyone having a Jack and Jill shower? My fiance has been really involved with the planning of our wedding and when my bridesmaids asked what kind of shower we wanted they asked if he wanted to be included too. Of course he said yes! What kind of games and who should all be invited to a Jack and Jill shower?

Re: Jack And Jill Shower

  • I personally am not having a Jack and Jill Shower, but my brother did and I'll tell you about theirs :)

My brother's was outside in the garage (and all the men were there) and mainly consisted of him opening up presents like tools, etc..  They came in for food, but was mainly outside.

My SIL was in the house and they played games and had her open her presents, etc.

I guess they kind of did them separately so they guys didn't have to play the games with the girls if they didn't want to...  The invites specified there would be 2 showers at the same time though.  I think my brother's was referred to as a Garage Party?

I'm not an expert on Jack and Jill Showers at all, this was just what I heard/remember (since I wasn't actually at the showers I was in Minnesota, they were in Utah and it was 6 years ago).

My family has always done these types of showers, and they are a lot of fun! Unfo, my Fi does not want any part so I'm doing just a bridal shower, but I'll tell you about all of my brothers and sisters showers :)

We didn't have like PP where it was 2 showers, everyone was invited to one shower. We had food  and games and really just a nice get together for family and friends to meet each other. We played a few games that I really liked and remember. The first game was like a "newlywed" game where the BP asked the bride and groom different questions about eachother and then in front of everyone they tried to answer. (How many scars does FI have, how old was he when he first rode a bike... you can find cool ones online.) We also played something like beer pong, but instead of drinking when you made a cup you had to answer a question about the bride or groom and if you got it right you could give your drink to someone else (my family is big drinkers). I found these showers to be a lot of fun! You're lucky your FI likes planning so much! My FI hates it, lol. good luck!
