  • I was a vendor who upgraded someone and they didn't acknowlege it I'd be pretty irritated too. If I were you I would write an apology email and say "I'm sorry if I didn't properly acknowlege the upgrade you gave me a few months ago. I didn't realize at the time I got the email what was happening. I'm very grateful for all that you've done for us up to this point and am not asking you to make any concessions with regard to the lighting. Rather than doing the full uplighting package I'd just like a few lights around the dance floor. If the lack of responsiveness on your part is out of anger or frustration with me I hope that we can resolve the issue and put this misunderstanding behind us because FI & I are still looking forward to working with you." With your wedding being this close its probably better just to be gracious and eat crow than to get into it with the dj.

  • How bizarre. He may just be irritated at himself for booking so early and forcing himself to work at his old rates. If that's the case, he can just get over it. I don't know why else he would continue acting like that.

I planned my entire wedding in three months (29 days to go!). I can't imagine having to sustain relationships with my vendors for over two years. You don't owe this DJ anything more than what is in your contract.

You gave him some referrals. He gave you an upgrade. Thank each other and move on. It's just business.
