Too Simplistic

Is this decor too simple(credit jo51085) For this room? The vases wouldn't be there. I would have a blank canvas and only the candles in the windows would be there. Should I add an arch or something. It would be at night overlooking the city. Any ideas would be great. Thanks so much ladies

Personally, I love it.  I am getting married on an outdoor terrace and the only decor I am having is silk petals down the aisle and lots of candles.  I like simple for the ceremony and then more elaborate reception decor.

Adding the pomanders on the chairs would add some color, but not over do it. Otherwise, that is a GORGEOUS room!

Love the candles! The room stands on it's own as gorgeous. don't add too much if you decide to add more.

I wouldn't touch it.  The poms are really pretty but not necessary.

I saw one picture similar to this with very simple decor that had rose petals lining the aisle with tall candles every few rows.  It was beautiful.  I'll see if I can find it tonight then bring it to work and scan it in the morning.  I would love an arch or chuppah, but either would probably make the room look small, without having superhigh celings.  Maybe if you draped some fabric directly from the celing on either side of the alter?  The city in the background will be beautiful.

Forget that "fabric from the celing" idea.  Don't do it, it's way too much.

I'm going to do this down the aisle and have a runner also.

That's really similar to what I was talking about.  I love it.  You don't need anything more than that down the aisle, for sure.

I think the key is lighting..whether it be candle light or uplighting. It really can make a difference. It's beautiful!
