I've been reading several different boards but I think this one is my favorite and wanted to say hello!
My name is Shannon and my wedding will be Aug. 11, 2012. I just got engaged a few weeks ago, but already booked the venues and bought my dress! I live in FL, but we are having a wedding in Nashville because it is closer to my family in KY and is in a more central location for guests and family who are located all over. I was just up there a few weeks ago and wanted to get as much booked as possible, but from now on I will be trying to book things from afar. Our colors are red and ivory and our reception will be in an elegant hotel that used to be in a train station. I am going for elegant simplicity and trying to be very cost-effective.
I have had a lot of fun reading everyone's posts and have learned a lot so far, and am excited to continue!
