wedding gifts for destination wedding

So we're having a destination wedding in Maui and everyone is traveling for it. Some members of our wedding party are travel really far for it- from Europe. We decided to pay for their attire and hair. We're really grateful for them coming from so far especially since some are on a budget. Do you think I should get them a gift gift to make our appreciation more formal? Or do you think what we've done is enough?

Re: wedding gifts for destination wedding

  • You could write each one a personalized note saying how much you appreciate them coming, and if you wanted to you could add a little gift to each note.  It is 100% up to you though.  My sister bought my hair/makeup for her wedding, and she got me a cute frame that said "sister" and things like that!  I loved it because it was small but something I could cherish forever!!

I love that idea. Honestly, I didn't want to shell out a lot more since things are getting tight for us now, but something very personal and sweet sounds perfect.

    Thanks!
  • Paying for attire and such is a very generous gesture, but it is only for your wedding, so it's not really something that they can keep or use beyond that day. And it isn't something they would need/want if it wasn't for your wedding. So even if it is just a small gift with a note, I think it would be nice to do.
