NWR: Car tab renewal stink!

For any of you in MN you will share in my miserery!!  $237 for a stupid sticker with two numbers on it!  UGH....

Ouch!  That's worse than Chicago, and we have the highest priced everything it seems!  Im sorry!

Oh whats that? like the sticker ont he license plates? those are 80 bucks for us here.But we also have to pay a car tax twice a year, and this year our two cars were $380 every  6 months

Wow, that's a lot. I have to renew my tabs this month too, but thankfully they went down a little from last year.

Wow! That is crazy! I renewed my tabs here in MN also and it only cost me like $80!

Yup...it is the little sticker....I would rather split it up than it all at once....and then on top of that I had to buy a plane ticket for $460....it was an expensive day at work.

Oh how often do you guys have to get tabs?We only get them every other year. I didn't know thats what they were caled, and ya only $80
though I don't think every state has a car tax. which is really annoying.

Yikes!  My car is a 2000 and I don't pay that much!!  Cost of tabs is insane though, and partially why I will likely never buy a new car, always older and used lol!!

I just got my renewal notice in the mail today...thankfully I live in Wisconsin, so it is only $75 per year.  Also, is the term '"tabs" a Minnesota thing?  I've never heard that term used in Wisconsin, but maybe that's just me.

Libby-  I dunno I am not from MN I just live here...:)  That is what everyone calls them however
