BM Dress Issues

My BM ordered their dresses from Alfred Angelo towards the beginning of March on the promise that they'd be in the beginning of June to allow time for alterations. We knew alterations would be a pain because 2 BM live 2 hours from the store and 1 lives an hour away. Long story short they still aren't in and Alfred Angelo isn't being helpful at all. They just keep saying "we don't have a ship date yet. that's all we know."

Any recommendations on what to do?

I had the same issue with Alfred Angelo, they kept saying the same thing and they estimated July!!! I was starting to freak!! I just kept calling and checking in Regularly to see if they had a better idea. Thankfully all my girls all got the call last week and their dresses FINALLY came in. I hope they come in soon!!

For the girls who live a distance from AA they could always just go to a local seamstress.  Bridesmaid dresses shouldn't take long to alter if that makes you feel any better. 

It sucks they can't give you a better idea.  fingers crossed they come in soon.

I have the same issue with my veil.  I got it at a different bridal shop than where I bought my dress.  They told me that once it was 1/2 paid for they would get a ship date and that was 2 months ago and still no ship date.  Now it's paid for in full and I need to know that it's going to arrive before the wedding.  The girls at the shop keep telling me that it will be in and not to worry.  In fact I think that I will give them a call again tomorrow to see if there are any new developments.  I hope that everything works out for you and that your dresses come in.  I am still waiting on one of my BM dresses too, but that's because it was a reorder because it came in and it was the wrong size.  I am starting to think that these bridal salons like getting us all up in a tizzy and get their kicks from it.

I agree with PP about using a different place for alterations.  It will also save them mucho dinero!
