Emi, I almost got myself in trouble when I saw their Spring 2010 line: http://www.christosbridal.com/gowns/S2010/desiree.shtmlGood thing the majority of the money on the wedding has already been committed....oooh it was tempting.

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with pee wee drill team but basically they perform for pee wee football games and then have a competition at the end of the season. I have a friend on facebook who made a comment about the director of one team yelling at the girls and she could hear them in her house. Her comment was about how she wished the director would not be so mean to the "cute lil girls." In response someone else wrote:"are you kidding?! that's my FAVORITE part about this time of year!retarded drill instructors who think that what they're doing there makes a difference in life to Anybody.. lol"Um, thanks. I'd like to think my four years of school weren't wasted just to become a "retarded drill instructor." Yes I know there is a difference between me, a public school teacher, and a volunteer, but it definitely got to me.

I really wish Jeff wouldn't go talk to his mom in the other room. He never asks enough questions and he never catches me up on enough info back home in KC. I know he isn't hiding anything, but I'm nosey and want to be in the loop.

I think this board has handled "annoying" and flammable situations much better than in the past and I'm very happy about it :)

Allison - I got a different read from the drill instructor comment.  I'm imagining "retarded drill instructor" as a drill instructor who takes things way too seriously.  Somehow I can't see you as an instructor who thinks that the drill girls are failures at life and won't amount to anything if they don't place first in a competition.  :)  So I think you're safe from the category of "retarded drill instructor."

Emi, my FMIL loves to call "family meetings" where only FI and his siblings and his parents are in the room.... during the holidays!  So everyone else, wives, husbands, sig figs, whoever, are kinda just standing around going "I wonder what the heck they're talking about... let's act like this is totally normal... oooh dip!"

That is SO awkward! Jeff just leaves the room bc he knows that I'm going to eavesdrop and remind him to ask certain questions.

Sorry I haven't been posting...I'm just vomiting over the idea that I'm going onstage tonight...with a critic in the audience...to perform a role I learned in 3 days.

I know the roles are completely different, but you definitely know how to command the stage :)

Donna that is beyond weird and a little rude but I get the meaning of family varies person to person but even then they are married!!  Are they banned from talking about what they talked about in this so called "family meeting? it to her kids SO's?  FI doesn't speak much in front of me when he's on the phone with his mom anymore, which is totally fine.  But she got mad recently and said that he doesn't seem to be able to carry on a conversation with her when I'm in the room...but the tricks on her-I haven't been 'in the room' for quiet some time.  FI told her that was BS.  He was pissed.

I'm really just anxious.  I know I'll at least know the lines and the lyrics.  I just want to be GOOD and to match the talent of the people that have been working as an ensemble for two months.  Once I get tonight out of the way, I'll feel better about the run of the show.

shortgirl, it's usually nothing too big of a deal, but she's a very dramatic woman and she enjoys those ridiculous gestures that make things look like a big deal. Like I said, I used to take offense to everything she did as if she had a personal agenda against me (or the other sig O's).  But now I realize she just likes to play the "Grand Dame" and it's sort of amusing to sit back and watch and circus show.  FI reports back everything she says that is of any relevance, anyway.

I'm gonna go ahead and flame any grown woman (25 years or older) who wear Ugg boots with a mini skirt or shorts. Let's get some grown up clothing on ya OK - I'm 28 and I'm wearing my UGG boots with fringe on then with my skinny jeans today at work since it's causual Friday.....I don't think there is anything wrong with that....now shorts or a mini skirt would be silly!

..and to answer the questions after my first post....yes, she would not allow us to try to the BM dress on her last night (called to cancel at last minute) because "she does not feel comfortable with this". I am assuming that she is referring to Brayden being in the wedding......so we have no idea if we'll be allowed to pick her up next Friday as planned or not...with the way things have been going with her lately, my gut is saying she won't even answer her door when we ring the doorbell.

Lindsay, I meant that combo, because it was so popular (may still be?)  and looks silly on anyone, but especially once you're out of college.

Donna - I agree with you .... why would you wear fur boots (obviously for cold weather) with a mini skirt or shorts (obviously for warm weather) at any age......

My principal has a PhD and sent me an email that just said "Preciate ya".  He couldn't even say "I appreciate what you do" or even use big boy words.

I really hate Ugg boots. I'm in college and I see them every day on girls with skirts and shorts and I absolutely hate them.
