FI and I have been planning on paying for the wedding mostly on our own. My mom offerred to pay for the dress and his parents the rehearsal dinner. Other than that we thought we were footing the entire bill. I was talking to my father today and he said you do know I am sending you a check after I get my taxes done for the wedding. I was completely shocked. He said it's one of the things a dad does.
We had been talking about having to scale some things back since we are also buying a house but with this wonderful gift now we don't have to. I am so ecstatic about this.
