Reception locations in or close to Rowlett?

I'm getting married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rowlett, and I'm having a hard time finding reception locations that are fairly close to the church. Everything I've looked at is either closed or too far away, so any suggestions would be appreciated! (The address is 3905 Hickox Rd) Also, is there any kind of guideline for how far the guests should drive from the ceremony to the reception? I was thinking 20-25 minutes at the most, but that's just a guess.

I think 20-25 minutes at the most but one girl is having hers drive quite a ways (IMO).  There's the Hilton in Rockwall on the lake.  Is there a favorite family restaurant out there that has a large banquet room?  How many are you planning on inviting?

You might look at my venue if you have under 150 people coming. It's right on George Bush and Coit and I think from Rowlett it would be okay? It's the Hilton Garden Inn Plano/Richardson. It is really unique - not like a typical chain hotel. The venue area has a separate back entrance and it's like a art gallery in the back - really cool. It's also very budget friendly.

I got married in Rowlett at the First United Methodist Church. We had our reception there, but we looked into the Community Center. I'd recommend checking that out. It really wasn't too terribly expensive, and would be a very easy area to decorate.

What about the Granville Arts Center in Garland? Blue Canyon (restaurant) at The Rockwall Harbors does let you rent out the whole place for private events. Or maybe the Spring Park Community Center at Jupiter & Lookout in the Firewheel area of Garland? http://www.springpark.org/

My friend that got married a year ago had their reception at the Branding Iron. It's in the Firewheel Golf Course.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions! I contacted the Hilton Bella Harbor about two weeks ago (one of my friends got married there last year) and unfortunately it was already booked, but I'll check out the other locations!
