Guest Transportation

Does anyone have an idea of how to get out of town guests around when thy are in town for the wedding? I have people (approx 15) coming from out of state and so they wont have cars. I have a block of rooms at the Hyatt reserved fo them ,but the Hyatt does not provide a bus or anything.  I am thinking they need to get from the airport to the hotel, from hotel to rehearsal dinner (about a mile away) and back, and from hotel to church, church to reception, reception back to hotel (less than mile away).I am thinking of renting a couple vans?  But then, who will drive them?  I know I could rent a bus, but I was hoping for something a little less expensive.   I dont think it would be proper for me to just expect them to rent cars, right?  Also, then if I provide some transportation for those 15 people, do I have to also provide it for EVERYONE staying at the hotel? (There will also be people from Houston there, but they will have cars.)Thanks!!!!!

I think that they might be planning on renting a car. I know whenever we go out of town, that we do. Just ask them what they are planning to do and then base your answer on that.

We have out of town guests but we figure most will rent a car because it's Dallas, not the most public transportation savvy town.  Although, the guest hotel is right at Mockingbird Station, so they somewhat have access to transit. We are planning on getting a shuttle/party bus to transport the guests to and from the wedding/reception from the hotel because we don't want anyone drinking and driving.  Our rehearsal dinner is family and bridal party only, so I'm not doing anything about transportation there (since we can just work out carpools).

We are not getting transportation since most OOT guests (and there aren't that many) are coming in for 3 or more days and are renting their own cars. We were playing with the idea of having a bus/van for the wedding to the reception to the hotel but it isn't pratical for several reasons. I let the guests know well in advance the hotel/car rental information with the STDs.

We had close family friends offer to let my family ride with them. As far as I know it was not awkward or anything like that.

I've never traveled for a wedding myself, but if I did, I think I would assume that I'd have to take care of transportation myself. I'd probably just rent a car.
