I am a bit new to the Knot message boards, and while I have picked a few boards I love the feel for to sort of regular, occasionally I will find a post on the front page that I like the sound of. After checking the posting guidelines for that board (and doing a little bit of lurking) I'll sometimes go back and add my response to that thread (usually sharing a different opinion or shedding a different light on the subject... I'm not usually one for posting an agreement with the ten people above me). This is usually fine and other people on the thread will occasionally pop in and agree with my sentiment but on a few occasions I have actually been harshly told off by mods (or names recognized as regulars) on those boards, one of which actually told me to post my opinions on a different board because they weren't welcome there. I was honestly just trying to answer an original question that had been side-stepped by previous posters.... Has anyone else had problems with this sort of thing? How did you deal with it? Does anyone have suggestions of boards that may be more welcoming/ helpful to new Knotties? I'm just feeling a little thrown off just as I was starting to enjoy the Knot...
