When should the guys be getting their tuxes?

My fiance hasn't even stepped foot in a tux place? Are we behind or do we still have a few weeks to do this?

We went with a national chain. They said that you can usually wait up until about a month before the wedding... if you wait to within 2 weeks you would probably need to do a rush order for the wedding party which can get expensive. If it's just your fiance who's renting, then you probably have plenty of time. If there are groomsmen, then you might want to order/ pick something out within the next month. We were told that getting the groomsmen to get in for fittings takes the longest (ours live all over the country so we have to just trust that they'll do it in time)!

Ditto PP. We asked our GMs to please please please not wait until 3-4 weeks out, because they will definitely forget, and we don't want them to have to deal with rush fees.
If you're looking to give them a date, find out the absolute latest they can get fitted without worrying about rushing or last-minute fees, and then tell them a week before that.. in case they're anything like our GMs and will probably forget

our tux shop also said they only need a month.  FI went and picked everything out, and the last week in June all the boys are going to get measured

Our guys are measured but that's because they live all over the country and waiting untila  month out seemed impossible to coordinate.

We just went to the tux shop last week and I thought we were behind too, but the lady said we were actually a little early, and that most people come in about 2 months ahead of time and need to be measured one month out. So, you are good. That being said, I would make this one of your next to dos- at least figuring out where you are ordering from.

I went and looked at tuxes a while ago because I didn't know anything about them. At that time I picked out what they guys will all be wearing and put down a deposit but the girl I was working with said they could wait until the end of June to come be sized and that it would be best if we waited until after prom season. So FI has talked to his guys and they all plan to come get measured sometime next month.

We picked out the tuxes in March, but the guys have until July to get measured (Dad's included) and they can get measured anywhere and just have their measurements sent to our tux lady
