Hair and Makeup, which comes first!?

Do you get your hair or makeup done first? I always figured hair first, then makeup. But after talking to my hair stylist she said its up to me but she would think we would do the makeup first then the hair becuase if you have to move bangs or anything of that sort to apply the makeup you wouldnt want to ruin the hair. I'm a little confused now, how is everyone else doing it?

Make up first...I'll be laying back in a chair for my make up and I don't want to crush my hair.

My MUA told me to do hair first because of all the hair spray that we'll use for my hair.  You can always touch up hair a little after the makeup is done.

Honestly, I plan on going to the salon that morning and asking which chair they want me to sit in first.

I'm doing hair first only because my girlfriend will be doing everyones makeup back at the house. I don't think it really matters, Do whatever's easier with your schedule the day of.

i'm going hair first than makeup because most of my bridesmaids are doing their own makeup but having their hair done, so thtat is the most time effective.
Also, I heard that styling tools, and the heat can melt your makeup down so its better to do hair first.

I am having my hair done first, just because I figured that is the most time consuming. Like other posters, I am having a friend do the wedding make up and I know not all of the BMs are going to be having it done. I guess, I never contemplated having make up done first

I'm doing hair first. My hair holds any style with no problem (thankfully!) but my skin is a different story! I tend to be oily to to avoid looking a mess in photos I'm going to get my makeup done right before we leave the hotel.

Hair first then makeup so I can use something to wipe any hairspray off my face.

Thanks guys! I think I'm going to tell my hair stylist I would like to do hair first. Just kind of makes more sense to me that way!
