My FI and I are getting married on Saturday and have decided to write our own vows. I know that there is another board for this purpose. I feel more comfortable posting here because this is where I usually post.
I just can't decide if the final paragraph is demeaning to me like I am bowing down to him or if it is getting across what I am trying to convey. I am essentially trying to say that I will love him forever and do my best to show that on a daily basis, but in a more eloquent manner. Please feel free to tell me what you think. Thank you!
Last paragraph:
I vow to not just be your wife by title, but to embrace all that it means by treating you with respect, valuing our relationship, and cherishing my role as your friend, partner, and confidante. I promise to love you unconditionally and care for you forever.
