Fill us in on your WR and NWR updates from this weekend!

WR: We bought wedding insurance, FI and his BM picked up their suits, we ordered ties for all the GM, ordered a bout and vest/tie set for FI, and we settled on a honeymoon (which we initially weren't even planning to do!) We also started researching more music options since it feels like having our friends' band play a few sets is going to fall through...

NWR: It was crazy hot on Saturday so we didn't even leave the house. We watched two movies, then I took a nap while FI listened to some more Game of Thrones on tape...

WR: I had my first of 5 bridal showers! And it was so much fun! We also got so many things off of our registry that it is going to be hard not using them before the wedding.

NWR: My FI and I got ourselves new Iphones this weekend and we had a friends wedding Saturday night.

NWR;  We hosted a successful bbq at our house today, in spite of the heat.  It was really nice!

WR: Found out my bachelorette party is likely going to be dinner and a baseball game!!  So excited.

WR: Had my first fitting today and it was amazing!! I also picked out my veil and headband and am so in love wth everything! I didnt want to take it off. They are taking the shoulder straps up a bit and doing a french bustle first, then when I go back they will take it in some, since I have already lost 25 pounds and plan to lose a little more before then.

NWR: Booked our hotel rooms for our vacation next week. We are postponing the HM so that we can go to the Upper Peninsula for 9 days, starting Friday. We are camping at my families lake property for 5 days then heading to the very tip of the UP for 2 nights. I cant wait!

WR- got my ceremony music figured out, added two more boots for our extra ushers
NWR- hung out with my bestie, did lots of homework, went to work, did a lot of sitting around.

Awwww, I haven't done one of these in soooo long. Hello again, ladies.

NWR: Had a good cry. I've been MIA lately because in May, FMIL was diagnosed with stage two esophogeal cancer. And then we found out on Friday that it's progressed to stage four, and metastasized to her spine. So, she has less than a year. They can't do a thing, because she's had cancer twice already. The thing is, with cancer, if you're radiated too much, you'll have scarring, and they can't radiate anymore. And she's in rough enough shape that chemo would probably kill her. So, we're just praying for the best. FI is terrified she's going to pass before the wedding.

WR: Happy stuff! Got my undergarments for The Dress. Finished the "chandeliers" (pictures are coming) that we're hanging from the ceiling.

WR: LOTS! Finished my timeline, finished the wedding prep to do list, my mom purchased her MOB dress, worked on finalizing readings, finalized ceremony music and finalized groom's cake. NWR: Laundry!

WR: Unexpectedly finished centerpieces! I had expected to get a good start on them, but once I got going, I was on a roll! At the same time I also did my bridal bouquet, but there's still some work to be done - it still needs the ribbon wrapping around the stems.


 



NWR: Went to go visit FI's friends for their 10th wedding anniversary. It was a blast! I hope we're still having as much fun when our 10th comes around

Little Miss Cutie - I'm so sorry to hear about your FMIL, hopefully her at the wedding will be a great memory for all of you. Postive T&P sent your way!

WR: Updated the master guest list file with the rsvp's I've recieved so far,
Had my first fitting, bought the bra for the dress, bought some more jewelry for me to try with my dress, returned some jewelry that didn't go with my dress, bought BM jewelry, ordered the wedding favors, FIL's booked the rehearsal dinner (FINALLY), bought some goodies for the hotel welcome bags

NWR: relaxed while FI is away on business,was very tired due to the heat and all the wedding related running around.  Happy got to spend some time with my mom and my aunt though

WR: Well, this was last weekend technically, but I missed that update- had my bridal shower! It was a beautiful luncheon in NYC at my favorite Italian place, with about 12 people. Intimate and lovely! The highlights were a towel cake my Aunt made, and a card from one of my closest friends that had the most beautiful note inside that I've ever seen (I'm a crier, there were happy tears). That same weekend, we sent out invitations! This past weekend I had boudoir photos done (woohoo livingsocial deal), I'm going to pick out the ones I want tomorrow. It was super-fun, even though I was nervous, and I can't wait to surprise FI with them.

NWR: More dissertation-ing. That's all I do lately.

LMC- I'm so sorry about your FMIL. Cancer is such a b*tch. T&P to you and yours.

WR- Got FI and Best Man's shoes, made the playlist for the ceremony, made a photography list

NWR- Spent the whole weekend together, FI owns a landscaping company and works so many hours and weekends. It was so nice to have a full weekend of dates and time with friends.

WR: finished up the programs and wrapped the bridal party gifts.  Ordered the place farm frames and gifts for my godfather (reader) and our officiant (FI Uncle).  Added more pages to the photo booth scrapbook.

NWR: layed out in the pool to work on my tan for the wedding and watch Bride Wars and Father of the Bride, and of course cried at the good parts

WR - had my first dress fitting, which was a little disheartening since they have to take out the hip area, but I have a feeling with how warm it has been up in Wisconsin this past week and all the water I was drinking I was bloated/water weight. So hoping next time I go in the bust and hip area is better. I also had my second bridal shower Sunday, it was very nice, small turn out but it was nice. Hoping this week to get programs printed so while up north this coming weekend we can cut them out and get them prepared for the following weekend to be put together.
NWR - nothing outside of working Friday night.

WR - Met with the DJ to go over all the detail songs and such. He's gonna be a great DJ I think! Also met with the minister to go over the ceremony details - It was a great meeting. Got a LOT of DIY projects done (see post for pics). Had my first dress fitting-  which went well. 

NWR - went swimming with my nephews - love spending time with them! Not much else...

WR:Nothing except google and pintrest hair styles. My first dress fitting is friday and all my big important checks are done so its all small stuff left.

NWR: Saturday I stayed in my pjs all day and did nothing and enjoyed it (I spent the last two weeks busy doing grad cakes and desserts which I do on the side out of my apartment). Sunday went for 2 hour walk with my 3 year old son just get out of the apartment and enjoy the nice weather and started on a star wars birthday cake which I get to deliver in a couple hours.
