    It's a historical hall in Westchester. Looking at halls and hotels just didn't feel like "us." And when I found this place, I totally loved it too! Plus, it's freaking cheap as anything- $650 for all day rental on a weekday; we really couldn't beat that in the NYC area. A little about the building, paraphrasing the website:

     

    The old Methodist church was built in 1806 and moved to its present site in 1837 by twenty yoke of oxen. In 1916, nine villagers created the Bedford Historical Society and purchased the building to save it from being turned into a tenement. Now known as Historical Hall, this building stands at the base of Bates Hill which was the location of the original meeting house on the edge of the Village Green.

    Soooo sweet! I can't wait to see pictures of how you decorate it :)

    $650 is soooo nice :)

    We're getting married at a historic site here in VA: Click. Same deal, we just couldn't find a hall or hotel that fit us. We considered a vineyard, but it felt too rustic for my taste.

    Ooh, pretty! Yeah, the price point was pretty fantastic. Are you having the ceremony and/or reception outside?
