Advice needed for centerpieces...

I found these metal candleholders online that I really like. But there are a few dilemmas with them.

1. I won't know the final guest count for a few months. If enough people say they can't make it, then it will change the number of centerpieces I need. I'm thinking that I should just plan for the maximum (which is 16), and then if I don't need 2 or 3, just try to sell them or something.

2. They only have 6 in stock right now. I can't decide if I should just order all of them and hope they get more in time for me to order the rest before August, or if I should just try to find something else.

3. They ship from California, and I'm in Massachusetts. So not only is that extra costs in shipping, that's also time spent waiting for it to arrive (this is more imminent if they don't restock enough of them before August).

Should I just order them in batches? Or should I try to look for something else?
If I look somewhere else, I don't know where to go. I'm going for a garden feel, and I wanted some metal structure (or metal-looking structure) that I could wrap fake leaves and plants around. It doesn't have to be a candle holder--that's just what I happened to find that I liked.

maybe you can contact the company and find out when they plan on restocking, or what the waitng time will be to get them all at once.  Also, if you do decided to get something, I would get the max number you need, and if you don't use them all you can use them for the gift table or desert table or bar or whatever.....My FSIL is making mine, and she's making 15 even though the max number of tables we need to seat people is 10...just in case.  Rather to many than to few, like you said, can always resell them.

Yeah. I would add some fake leaves to it, at least. The top of the holders have a flat sign, so I would decorate it with the table numbers. Then I would need the candles, but I don't think those will be a problem. The site says 1.75inch candles fit in them. It has six openings, but I think I would only put three in them. 

The more I've been thinking on this though, the more I'm thinking that I should try to look around stores in my general area to see if there's anything that catches my eye. Then I'll go back to these if I don't find anything.

I'd look in stores in your area, but call the company where you found these and find out what they can do about restocking if you really want these candleholders.

Do they all have to be the same? You could buy what they have in these and look for something that would complement them in a different design.

I'm with Ajoyd. If you love them - get the 6 and use them on alternating tables with a different design. It also helps with the too many issue. I love the idea of doing different centre pieces, but that they all still tie in with each other. 

Also most gardens aren't all uniform in every way - it might add to your theme! 

But I'm all about going with your gut. I've done that with just about every decision for my wedding - even though when I think it through a few weeks later, I'm not sure if I made the right decision at the time. In the end I know my gut is the way to go.
