Another Bump in the road- ahh

So the other day I posted that fiance and i decided to go with a blue trolley for transportation and i got an inciredible deal. I sent over the Application and the contract and left two voice mails for teh girl snad sent 2 emails saying I was going to book and please call me so I could give her my CC number. They are a really popular reputable company and i assumed that she was just busy and would get back to me.
 
Anyway she hasnt calledme back yesterday (I left the messages monday and tues) so I called her. When I told her i was just calling to give the CC to hold the trolley she put me on hold, for a really long time, i was getting anxious. Then she goes "let me call you back"
she called back and said that when she was out on Monday someone else in the office took the trolley booking for someone else and that was their only trolley left.

Its only the ONLY trolley left in rhode island--and so i started crying. adn she said she has a friend that owns a trolley in boston ad she would call him and see if he is available on that date. otherwise we can have ANY other vechile in their fleet for the price of our vehicle and that it didnt matter if it was more expensive.


I'm so upset over it. but fiance said, it doesnt matter, at the end of the day-- we are driving 5 miles, and it doesnt matter if we get there in a station wagon or a trolley or a school bus- its just that we get there and not to worry about it.
But now that i knew i was getting the trolley at an amazing price- i am like super upset....

So sorry about the trolley!!!  I know how it feels to have your heart set on something and then have it taken away...

I think that girl should have had someone else check her voicemails if she was going to be out of the office, or leave a note saying she had someone potentially renting out the trolley so this didn't happen..

That being said I do give the girl props for being so willing to try and make it up to you (calling her friend, and offering other vehicles instead).. Who knows? Maybe her friend's trolley will be available?  Try to stay positive (like you've told me before), it could be a lot worse...

HA! I have told you that before. It could always be worse. and if this is the worst hiccup we have along the way--then so be it!


EDIT: I have an update. I called her this am and she said that her friend said his trolley has someone penciled in on my date. He was going to call them to ensure they didint want it and then could book me. I felt liek saying "kind of like you should have done for me" but I held my tounge...

so if i dont hear back from her by 4pm i am going to call her again

i have a wicked anxiety today over this, stomach ache, super hot, headache ah

I'm sorry things aren't working out - you must feel so frustrated.  A similar situation happened with my FI and I renting an awesome apartment.  We were told we had it, but there was a miscommunication at the office and someone else signed the lease.  It ended up working out okay, though, because we love the place we are in now.  Things will turn out just fine!

Thanks! In a twist of fate it all worked out. The girl ended up booking the people that were bookd on my day into the other guys trolley.

He had already had someone but they had it from 10-1 and the other people she booked on my day didn't need it until 4-10 pm
so he can cover BOTH weddings and that leaves me to have the original trolley all to myself. She has to call the other bride to see if she was willing to switch from a blue to a white trolley and she was (which was great)
so it all worked out int he end :)
