Vendor Reviews: Venue Ceremony and Reception: Cowboys Golf Club A++++ After meeting with Otto at the Cowboys we knew there was no need to look further, And rocked! The rehearsal dinner was simply amazing, we went with a fiesta theme and the food was simply amazing. The Ceremony was planned for outside but it started raining 1hr before ceremony, they waited to see if it would pass thru but it didn't and they quickly moved everything inside and setup and the guest never even knew of the change. I'm still getting emails about the food, everything was wonderful although Steve and I were so busy and only had a small plate they made us great to go boxes. Everyone was talking about how wonderful the staff was. There was one mishap, our memory table box went missing and didn't get set up. But they were so apologetic. And so much else could have gone wrong that I didn't let this get to me. Photographer: Static Sixx (Derek and Shannon) A+++++ We met them at the Plano bridal show and then met with them 2 months later to look at their albums and their complete work. And we both feel in love with their style and their personalities. They were the best during the whole wedding planning process. They would answer emails within hours, and were so very helpful.. Our engagements and bridals were fantastic. They were so easy to work with. They came to the rehearsal not only to capture that for us but also to help with positions and timing. On the wedding day I wouldn't have wanted any other photographer with us. I can't say enough good things about them. Derek met the groom and groomsmen at the golf course to capture their golf before the wedding. And Shannon came to be with us girls, basically they kept me sane. They went with the flow of things so easily. And I know they captured a ton of photos at the wedding but they faded back to the back ground and captured everything. I can't wait to see the pictures! The weather didn't cooperate at all and I know we all wanted more photos but I think they quickly recovered and I know we will have a wonderful wedding album. They also did our sign in book and I still tear up when I look thru it. It blows my mind at how wonderful and artistic it is. Florist: Nest, Floral Studio (Amanda) A+++++ Amanda did a fabulous job on every part! The décor was breathtaking! And everything turned out exactly like what I wanted. The flowers were so elegant, fresh and put together so beautifully. She did a bunch of extra stuff for us. She also did the ceremony décor and it was so beautiful. She was also able to incorporate the magnolia leaves that I wanted. Everything was just as I wanted. I would recommend her over and over again. And I will be using her for our dinner parties and holiday events we put on every year! Officiate: Ken Savage with Love Notes A++++ Ken was just as wonderful as everyone says he is. He did a great job, kept everything on time and running smooth thru the ceremony. His wife is such a sweetheart and did our rehearsal. I would recommend Ken Savage or any of the Love Notes ministers. Bakery: Elegant Cakery (Jodi) A+++++ Wow they really went above and beyond. I liked the cake when we went for tasting but we just adored Jodi and her enthusiasiam about our wedding and our ideas. It took me longer to pick a cake design than it did anything else. But when I did they said it was no problem at all. The cake turned out fantastic, the best wedding cake I've ever had. I'm still getting compliments, and the wedding cake tasted better than the sample cake we tried. I loved working with them! DJ Connection: A++ We booked Dj Connection upon recommendation from our photographer and their price was fantastic. I admit I was a little worried about them after seeing some of the reviews, but it was too late to back out so I put a lot of trust in them and DJ Caleb did an awesome job. Sure there were a couple of hiccups but I threw a lot of stuff at him at the last minute. But all in all he did a great job! He kept the party moving and worked very well with the photographer. Laura Smith with Cava Studio's (Kristin Colaneri Desgins) A++++ Laura was fantastic, everyone looked great! She is very talented and such a wonderful person. We enjoyed her being a part of our day. She did a ultra fantastic job on my heavy, very long thick non curly hair! My curls didn't fall and my makeup lasted all night. And I love Kristin, she was booked for my day but I'm so glad we got Laura). Smoot Jazz by Steve Brummet A++++ Steve was great! We wanted a saxaphonist for the ceremony music and he did a fantastic job. He even learned All you need is love for our recessional! Steve is very new to the wedding scene but I would recommend him, he did great and mingled with guest and really seemed to have a good time. The Cigar Roller, Sabino A++++ I booked Sabino and 1 cigar hostess as a surprise for Steve, and it was a huge hit! They took Steve and sat him down and gave him a lesson in cigar rolling. The cigars are fresh and fantastic. Sabino was so easy to work with and really won the crowd over. Of course the guys loved this more than the ladies. His prices I felt were great for what we got. Creative Ice A++++ Dave was great to work with and the ice sculpture looked awesome! I wish I would have done 2 like I wanted. I really wanted our monogram M for the cold station. But money was getting tight. I thought the price was great we got a 4' luge for 350. Becky Fowler for Alterations: A+++++ Believe everything wonderful you read about this magnificent women. She did a great job with the alterations on my dress and she is by far the sweetest, warmest, most wonderful lady I've ever met. LOVE HER! Simply Elegant Weddings: Rentals A+ The linens looked great and everything was exactly how we wanted it. Prices are great, I did find better priced chair linens but I wanted Champagne chair covers and she had them at the right price. Hilton Garden Inn (Grapevine) A+++ Wow I love this hotel! I thought at first it would be a typical old Garden Inn, I was so wrong. Gorgeous hotel, fantastic staff and they did a great job! Everyone enjoyed their stay and commented on how great the hotel and staff was.
