Hello Ladies,

I am new to this board since we moved our wedding from Sept to Aug 19th. I am going to order my invites this week. When should they go out and when should folks RSVP by? This is my second wedding and I have really forgotten all the little things since it was 18 years ago. lol

    Welcome and congrats!  We are sending our invites out about 8 weeks ahead of time. Anywhere from 6-8 weeks is pretty standard for invites.  Our RSVP date is one month before our wedding.  This is what our venue recommended as they need a final head count two weeks before, and our rental company needs a final head count three weeks before.  This really depends on when your venue needs numbers.  Find out how far ahead they need numbers, and then give yourself a week or two extra so you have time to call anyone who doesn't respond.

    Congrats!

    I set my RSVP date to one month before the venue needs a head count, so for us that is July 14th. I just ordered my invites last week, and they're supposed to come in sometime next week. I will probably send mine out in May, since the majority of my side of the guests are all out of town.
