Catering recs needed

Has anyone worked with Culinary Art Catering out of Addison or Star Catering in Frisco? I haven't been able to find any reviews of either business online. TIA!

Culinary Art Catering has several reviews on Weddingwire.  They were one of my choices and I went to one of their monthly tastings.  I thought their food was pretty solid although the choices were not as "foodie" as I wanted.  Wendy Krispin is who I ended up going with, whose prices were very much similar to Culinary Art Catering but had the sort of flare I was looking for (think avocado martini bar, watermelon gazpacho, truffled mashed potatoes, etc, instead of say chicken breast in a gazillion different cream sauce choices). Picking a caterer was fun!  Go to the tastings because that's really where you'll see the difference.  For example, I tasted "tuna tar tar on a wonton crisp with wasabi creme fraiche" with 2 different caterers and one presented something of exquisite, sushi restaurant level quality, and the other one presented me with tinny fish that could've passed for canned tuna (this was not Culinary Art, in case you're worried).  Just because the description on the menu is the same doesn't mean it's the same food!

I looked into Culinary Art Catering as well. I didn't have the opportunity to go to a tasting, but they seemed very willing to work within a budget, and came up with some great options for the menu. I also looked into Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. We had a tasting with them and thought the food was good. They do a great job with presentation of the food as well and they are really good about working within a budget. I felt like GWCTD offered the most food for the money. In the end we decided to go with Beyond the Box Catering because of their creative menu. HTH!

em, I've heard great things about Chef Doug Brown at BTB Catering from my chef friends! We also tasted with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and thought they provided great value for the price, better than all the other caterers we tasted with.
