Rescheduling Update/Reception Site Suggestions Needed

So we are probably definitely rescheduling.  We have to do it in April though, which makes it extremely difficult to find some place to have the reception.  Robert Carr had one spot open (the day before my birthday :/) and so I asked if we could tentatively have that date until we can get everything else worked out.  However, our reception venue (the botanic gardens) isn't booking rooms that weekend because they have a flower show. So!  I need suggestions for venues that are near TCU/in Downtown FW that don't require a huge food minimum and aren't extremely pricey (aka $2000ish).  Bass Hall is booked.  City Club and places like that are out because of money.  Found Stonegate Mansion last night, so I'm going to call them today and find out money details.  I absolutely love the T&P station, but I don't know if they allow day receptions.  It looks like the time slots are just for nights.  Any other suggestions?TIA, ladies!

I'm sure Appletango will tell you more about it, but her venue, the YWCA is really pretty and fairly inexpensive, I think.

Hey what about the Victory Arts Center?  Looks like it's only 2 miles away.  The pictures are really pretty.

I just wanted to say that at least you got to still keep your chapel. and with it being a day before your  birthday, your FI will have no excuse to forget your anniversary and birthday :)  (trying to think of positives)

Whew, what a relief for you!  Congrats on keeping the chapel! Well there is the Ashton Depot, there are also reception rooms at Stockyards Station that are used for Prom's and such that might be nice.  Lets see...the Modern Art Museum does receptions but I'm not sure if they have space available to reserve during the daytime.    I know someone that reserved all of Billy Bob's once (not sure that's the look your going for but hey, I just thought I'd throw that out there.Let me keep thinking here....

I was going to suggest the Stockyards Station too - I was done there one day when they were setting up for a reception and it was really pretty : )

I know this isn't in downtown Fort Worth but what about the Fossil Creek golf club. It was only $900 to rent and the only reason why I didn't go with it is because it was a tad to far from my church in Arlington. Also there is the art museum but I don't know how much that is to rent.

The Omni Hotel Ashton Depot (kind of expensive)WorthingtonRed Oak BallroomMasonic TempleT&P is worth a try...very cool venue. I did not book it because they do not have private bathrooms, only the public ones for use of train patrons.I think a lot of the others have been mentioned. I had my rehearsal dinner on the top of the rooftop patio at the Reata. I know its available for use for weddings too. It would depend on how many people you are inviting if it would be practical or not.

I can't offer any venues, but I just wanted to say that I'm glad you're on your way to figuring everything out.  I hope it all goes as smoothly as possible from here on out.

Someone I know of had their reception at Picosos in FW.  I didn't go but they seemed to have loved it.

TCU also has ballrooms in the new student union. Not sure on the prices though.

Hey if you're still looking and want to know more about the YWCA let me know! For a friday night it was only 1800 and they provide tables and chairs. Everything else you bring in. And since you are only having the reception there, it is cheaper to rent just the ballroom then both rooms (which is what I did) If you want more info just page me :)
