Bach Party Let Down

So my Maid of Honor & Matron of Honor just told me that it is only going to be the 3 of us for my bachelorette party next weekend. I'm so bummed; I didn't plan on having a huge event but I thought maybe 8 people. Apparently, no one can make it. Two of my close friends (who also conveniently couldn't make it to my shower) and even my sister (who's excuse was she has no money - eventhough I know she gets paid the day before & she still lives at home with my mom so not many bills).

I'm happy to be spending my time with my two girls who have done so much for me in this wedding planning process but it sucks that it'll be more of a regular day than a bachelorete party :(

Re: Bach Party Let Down

  • I'm sorry, that is a bummer!  You will probably have a great time either way but it does hurt when people don't make time for that especially knowing that it is coming!  Come on people, plan and put a little aside each week until it gets here!

Hope you end up having an amazing time!!  :)

  • It only takes 3 for a good time and a girl's night out.  Treat it like that instead, you'll have fun!

  • It will be more intimate, and you'll probably have more choices of things to do.  I'm sure they'll make it extra special!
  • I sort of felt the same way when there were only four of us - but it ended up being the best time because it was with my closest girls, and it was a LOT easier to manage a small group while going from bar to bar.

Have a great time and forget about the numbers! :)

  • I felt the SAME WAY two weeks ago!  Only four of us went to Nashville for my bachelorette party last weekend -  even my two sisters couldn't come (underage), and two bridesmaids (couldn't fly).  I was so disappointed, I wanted to cancel the whole thing, but we went anyways, and it was AMAZING!  It was so much easier to hang out and talk with less people, and bonus - there were less girls crowed around so we got more free drinks :)

Have a blast with the people who are coming, and maybe you can have a drink or two and girl-talk the night before your wedding when everyone is in town already for the rehearsal dinner??
  • I was hoping to have 8-10 ladies for a night out for my bachelorette but it ended up just being 5 of us. I honestly had the BEST time. I'm sure you will too!! :)

  • I am sure you will have a great time. Just don't go into it thinking it will be a let down. I am sure the girls coming will make sure you are spoiled!!!

  • Smaller groups are more fun in the end. I had a blast and got a lot of advice from my married girlfriends.

  • Same here. I am a little let down too that my bridesmaids can't make it. I understand that the world doesn't stop just because I'm getting married, but I know for sure I would bet over backwards for my friends if the shoe was on the other foot. It has been quite an ordeal with trying to plan stuff around everyone's schedules and I only have 4 people to try to plan around.
The last one was for my bacholorette party. We wanted to go to my one bridesmaids town, she lives 3 hours away, she has been coming to my town for a lot of different little events for the wedding. Well, of course the other 2 can't make the just over night trip! But, could have the following weekend (I couldn't because I am on call and can't leave town), so it will just be me and my one bridesmaid hamming it up in her town.
