Last night I went to bed around midnight or so and my FI was up playing a game on his phone since our TV was being wonky and around 1:40 I was woken up out of a dead sleep to him in the bathroom literally gasping for air with water all over the floor and towels strewn all over the floor in a panic coughing and trying to vomit at the same time. He has been complaining of a sore throat but nothing too serious so we didn't take it too serious. I start to panic and go to call 911 and realize I can drive faster than waiting on an ambulance since we're literally down the street from the hospital.
I throw him in the car, speed like it's nobody's business, and I swear God must have been looking out for us because we hit no traffic and no lights and got there in literally 3 or 4 minutes. Get him in the ER and the lady won't help him because he is panicking over not being able to breathe and can't tell her his name or social and finally gets checked in and they make him wait in the waiting room for what seems like forever. They get him back, do a strep test, take x-rays, give him medicine, a steroid, breathing treatment, and a numbing agent with no real answers as to what happened and send us on our way after 3 long hours.
So yea needless to say I didn't get much sleep and spent most of my time watching him to make sure he was breathing and now I am playing mother hen and watching what he eats, making sure he sleeps elavated, takes medicine as directed and just hoping and praying it doesn't happen again. I have never experienced anything like that and never hope to again

I get anxiety just thinking about it, I thought for a second there we might be in really big trouble
