Does anyone else feel like this?

Hi everyone! I don't post on this board too much, I usually stick to my local board. But I figured some of you might be feeling the same way right now.
 
I feel like I am at a pretty good place with my planning. Everything is booked, so we are now starting into some small details. But I am also starting to get a little bit of anxiety about some of the things I've booked a while back. You put your deposit down for a dj, florist, photographer, etc and then you basically don't talk to them for months! Does anyone else feel like they should be checking up on these people? haha.

lol I agree.  You don't want to bug them all winter because there was nothing to talk about and it would seem silly.  And now they are going to be busy getting into wedding season but you want to sit and talk about yours!

I feel the same way too, but I have been checking in on them. Everytime I make another payment or just for the heck of it. I dont really care if its annoying them or silly. I think it is perfectly fine to do so because you are paying them to do a job and I want to make sure their are no problems with that especially with all the Horror stories you hear from people about people running off. I dont think their is a problem with just saying Hi and making sure everything is still on track.

I feel the same way!!  FI and I made our deposit with our DJ in November/December and won't meet up with him until May/June.. I am getting a little nervous, but he lives in Florida in the winter and MN in the summer so I couldn't really bug him to meet during the winter lol!  I'm super excited to meet up with him and work on our song lists and dance flow!

I feel the same way, I'm also worried that "little things" (ie deocorations for the church) are going to sneak up on me last minute and I'll then I'll understand why I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs right now! lol

I feel the same way.  All of the big stuff is taken care of, but I'm trying not to let the little things sneak up on me.  I'm worried that I'll save it all until this summer (I'm a teacher so I have much more free time then) and then I won't have time to get stuff done.  So I'm trying to do a little something each week.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling like this! I just can't believe we are 4 months away. It seems like it's so close yet so far away!

I feel the same way! I'm also in the last two weeks of my Master's program so life has been crazy! Luckily I also teach full time so I can do more of the little stuff when I'm on summer vacation.

Ha. Fi and I got engaged in August 2010....we booked a lot of the big stuff before December that year.... so we havent talked to some places in OVER a year! =P

so yes, i'm a little anxious.  thankfully we know we booked awesome companies that will have no problem doing what we need them to do   A lot of them (florist, DJ) had said things like "check back with us June 2012 and we'll make all our final decisions".  SO, thats what we're doing.

I totally feel like this. We had booked everything big between August and October last year so I just sent each of our booked vendors a "Happy New Year! Just checking in!" email to ensure we were indeed on their calendars. I also confirmed our payment amounts and payment schedules.

If you're feeling antsy, maybe that would be a good thing to do - just instead of New Year's its the 4 month mark

But yeah, now I'm feeling underwhelmed with wedding stuff to do and I fear for the coming months when I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off just because I rested on my laurels through the last 3 months......
