Cost of Making Cupcakes?

I'm toying with the idea of making the cupcakes for the wedding to save some money. Does anyone know what it would cost to make 150 cupcakes from scratch?

Depends on the recipe you use and the quality of your ingredients. Don't forget that you should factor in your time spent as a cost as well.

And also cost of supplies.  Do you already have muffin pans, icing bags, etc.?  How experienced are you at baking?  Will you need to buy extra supplies in case you mess up?

Unless you're already an expert cupcake baker/decorator, I'm thinking that you won't be saving much money.

If you do decide to make them I suggest practicing on wax paper until you are sure of the design and get the feel of how do make it. As for the cost, it does depend on the ingredients but I wouldn't really think more than $150 (VERY ROUGH ESTIMATE) but it does all depend. Hope this helps and good luck!
