What is your idea of comfort food?

Soup and a grilled cheese sandwich with a glass of milk for dinner.

chili cheese fries from Wienerschnitzel, mac n cheese with or without tuna, and double stuf oreos dipped in milk.

Anything chocolate and/or loaded with carbs, homemade, fresh and warm.  Bread, cookies, creamy pastas, risotto, my mom's fried chicken, my step-mom's alfredo, my dad's stuffing, and my own buffalo sauce are the first things that come to mind.

I've got a pot roast in the crock pot right now in a red wine sauce... I think that qualifies. I think of warm, winter foods *mashed potatoes with real butter *any kind of fork tender meat *big bowl of pho *my dad's pan fried beef dumplings *biscuits with gravy *cornbread... jalapeno cornbread. Ok I'm starving, going home for that pot roast.

Macaroni and cheese is the ultimate comfort food. Whether from a box or homemade, it always satisifies. Of course, just about any carb will do in a pinch, though!
