How much cake? And cake boxes?

The venue for our wedding includes desserts with the dinner.  For our wedding cake, do I want to order enough for a slice for everyone?  How about cake boxes - enough for 1 for everyone?   Thanks, gals!

If you're ordering a cake, then yes you should plan on enough so each guest gets a slice.  If you're worried about the cost of this, you can do a small tiered cake for cutting/pictures and have a sheet cake or two as well to be cut  and served.
And I've never heard of "cake boxes".  Do you mean like a "to-go" container for guests to bring their slice home?

If you are serving the cake at the reception, you should probably only need cake boxes for half the guests (assuming you don't know that all your guests expect to take a piece home).
