What goes with strawberry soup?

So my future inlaws are cooking for our rehearsal dinner, which I love. FI's mom is insistent upon making a cold strawberry soup, which is fine, but that's the only idea she has. She's asking what else I want her to make. What do you think would go well with this? It will be the middle of July. Thanks!

As a foodie, I've just gotta say I feel like FMIL is going to be bummed when that isn't a crowd pleaser.....

But to answer the question at hand, I'd go with like a goat cheese and fresh basil bruschetta, fried chicken, pasta salad....light, summery stuff.

Can you do barbecue type foods? Grill burgers and hot dogs, have potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, cold salads, etc.
