Average price for a Groom's cake

I had a friend of a friend offer to make a Groom's cake for $200.  She is a professional baker and regularly makes both wedding and groom's cakes.  Is this reasonable, or am I being had?  What is the average price for a groom's cake?

Well, our wedding cake is $1.55 pp, so that cake could theoretically serve 100 people at $2 pp.

I expect my surprise groom cake to cost that much =)

I would think it would cost at least $200.

    What do you want?

We have a cubs-sox rivalry so I was going to have a hat of each team.  So it's actually 2 cakes for $200, which I assumed was a good price, but I'm always skeptical when people just throw out dollar amounts.  Thanks for the advice ladies!

Depending on the size of the cakes, you are paying a pretty good price.  I am a prof. cake baker/decorater myself; however I would have to say if this person is your friend you should trust her that she isn't gonna rip you off - I mean you are trusting strangers on here over her....
