Unique Wedding Cake- CAKE POPS

I'm thinking of doing something completely different.  I have seen a lot of cupcakes instead of a wedding cake and I was thinking about doing CAKE POPS in a tiered stand.  Anybody have any suggestions about this idea or has anyone done this that may want to share some thoughts???

I've seen these at every wedding I've been to in the past two years. That's not to say you shouldn't do it, just that it isn't super unique. Most cake makers do them now. I would say that you should have another dessert if you do these because they're small and people want more than a bite or two.

I agree with the previous poster. Cake pops are "the new cupcake" but usually they're part of a dessert buffet or served in addition to traditional cake. They're just a lot smaller and "denser" than traditional cake.

Pretty soon Whoopie Pies are going to be the new cake pops.
I LOOOOVE cake pops, but they are very trendy right now.

If you want to do this you should. I just happened to catch a show last night on PBS with this company doing them. Sounds easy
