How many servers per person?

My caterer has said that there will be 3 servers for our 100 person wedding.  We are having a sit down 2 course meal.  The tables will hold 10 people each.  I don't think 3 servers is enough.  What do you think?

Also he said only 2 servers passing our appetizers during cocktail hour.  We are passing 5 different things.  This also doesn't seam like enough?

    I think 5 sounds right.

That being said, we had over 10 servers for 65 people so I am not sure...

I think 5 servers would be good for your dinner. 3 does seem a bit too few. Also, I would think there would be a server for every appetizer but that's just my opinion!

3 seems so unrealistic to me.
I would honestly ask other cateres how many servers they would provide in this situation, with your menu and guest count.

2 servers for 5 appetizers might work, though. They'll just keep rotating their plates, is all.

I think you need more! I'd say you would at least need 5 min.

I recommend 1 server for every 2 tables for a plated meal.  Most places will allow you to hire additional servers, so that is definitely something I would recommend.
