We are having a family style dinner with two entrees. Initially we thought we would go the traditional route with a chicken dish and beef dish. Then we had our tasting and are conflicted.
FI loved the chicken marsala, which has a brown sauce. There is only one beef dish without paying for a major upgrade. It was only average: sliced sirloin with a brown gravy that was a little sweet and kind of reminded me of Chinese food.
FI and I both loved the breaded Sicilian pork cutlets served with a tomato garlic sauce. The rest of the menu includes, salad, pasta, Italian whipped potatoes, and green beans almondine.
The vast majority of our guest likely won't have any religious aversions to pork, but I feel like choosing pork could still be risky.
