poll - desserts

Hi, we are thinking of having a dessert table, and just a small cake for cutting, aswell as macarons (I love making them!)

These are our options from an amazing local bakery, we would probably do 4 or 5 options (not including the cutting cake, which will prob be a white chocolate and hazelnut mousse cake, iced with white buttercream), aswell as fruit.

I'm just not a cheesecake fan, although I know there are many of them. I do however LOVE tortes, and tiramisu.I also think it depends the season of the wedding...........I like light things like angel food cake and strawberries, or lemon cake with raspberries in the summer. I think cheesecake is a bit heavy for the summer. But just my opinion. I also agree with your plans for an offering of fruit.... helps those who are trying to stay in shape do so.

    They all sound delicious!

If tiramisu is on a menu, I pretty much have to try it; the raspberry/white chocolate mousse cake and the Bailey's cheesecake would tie for second place, depending on the fullness of my stomach.

I'd say chocolate pie. Most people are going to go towards chocolate or cheesecake.

Poor carrot cake has no votes! I love carrot cake, but in this case it just wasn't my first choice.

don't worry i just voted for the carrot cake ;) it was that or the pecan pie.  i'm actually not a fan of the rest of the options... but i could always have the regular cake or fruit!

I didnt vote because i love tiramasu but dont care for chocolate mouse cake. my second choice would have been baileys cheesecak...again i dont like chocolate. especially white chocolate.  i know i am in the minority  though not liking chocolate. all of those options would be great i am sure.

I'm not a picky dessert eater, but I wanted to suggest that you have a chafing dish of melted chocolate out with the fruit so people can have fondue.  We had that on our dessert buffet, and it was a huge hit.
