Hey, guys!
My family has decided we will be providing all the food for the reception. This isn't the first time our family has taken on this task, but this will be the first time we have major food restrictions.
My future mother-in-law is allergic to corn (among other things, this is just my main concern) and one of my really good friends is vegan. Since we're doing the food ourselves, I can be 100% sure that food is corn-free or animal-free, however I had a thought. This would be mainly for my friend, but I thought about making a separate plate of food for her and have it at her seat. (I'll also be making her a vegan cupcake so she isn't left out of cake.)
Should I just have labels for her and incorporate vegan foods in the buffet or is the plate a better idea? My family is the typical "good ol' boy" type and I'm afraid seeing "Vegan Friendly" would make them decide immediately they didn't want it. I also considered having them labeled with a separate color and just informing her and my future MIL that, let's say, green labels is vegan friendly and blue is corn-free.
Thoughts? Thanks!
P.s. We're doing an Hors D'oeuvres and Dessert Bar!
