keeping food warm

We are doing a buffet style and some of our options are pastas but I don't want to use the wire chafing dishes to keep the food warm because personally I don't like them and would be hoping the whole night that I went with something else but I have no clue what else I cud do to keep the dishes warm. I need some other suggestions on how to keep the dishes warm so I don't serve cold food to my guests. Perferably something that I would also be able to use later on. Thank you!

If you rented nicer chafing dishes would you be ok with that?

They have nicer ones? I have only seen the wires ones. If they have nicer ones I am totally okay with that. I am just not a fan of the wire ones. Thank you. I will look into the nicer ones.
