Painted Cakes?

I just wanted to know if painted cakes are that much more than regular cakes. I am in love with this cake.

    If it requires more time (and that one looks like it does) for a baker to produce, then yes, it will cost more.

    Oh, yeah, much pricier since more time is involved. You also might need to have a fondant covered cake, since buttercream is much more difficult to paint on than fondant.

    absolutly yes they cost more. Especially the stary night! It would take a decorator at least 12 hours to do that where the average wedding cake would only take about 4 hours. I love that cake as well and my wedding colors are blues and yellows inspired by stary night. lol
