We just did a pie tasting at a local oarchard and bakery. AMAZING! We tried cherry, blueberry, raspberry ruebarb and apple a mix of of pies, crumbles and cheese struedels We didn't find a single thing that we didn't immediately love.
We have had a horrible time finding a bakery in our area and still have not picked out a cake. FI jokingly just said we should forgo cake and just do pie.
We had planned on adding a few pies to our dessert table but now I'm torn.
We are doing these amazing chocolate chip cookies, shortbread cookies and frozen cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate. Would it be terribly missed if we didn't do a cake and upped the pie count? We would do a variety of fruit and switch it up with some crumbles or cheesestruedels all still the same shape and serving of a pie
