custom cake toppers that aren't super expensive

My FI wants to have mini sculptures of us fighting off a dragon.  Me with a shield, him with a sword, which would be on the 2nd tier of our 3-tier cake.  The drago is going to be sculpted out of fondant.  We've found a few people, one even local, that do cake toppers, but they are all over $150.  Our baker can do it out of fondant for $100, but we'd like to have something we can keep.
Does anyone know of any more reasonably priced sculptors that could help us out?

If you want them to realistically look like you and be sculpted out of clay or something comparable, then $150 is probably a good price.

If you're OK with them vaguely resembling you (i.e. painted, not sculpted), you could find the wood peg doll cake toppers on Etsy for about $50-$90 depending on the artist.

There are some Etsy sellers that do custom work other than what they're selling. Look around and inquire.

Hi BB! I had a very talented clay artist on Etsy make ours. FI and I love cats and actually met because of one, so I commissioned a cake topper to be made of a couple of cats with their tails entwined cuddling on a crescent moon. The hotel our reception is at is called the crescent hotel and I thought it would tie in nicely. I love your idea and I know Tracy could make you exactly what you are wanting for a very reasonable price. Ours was only 30 dollars! I couldn't believe it was so inexpensive.
